Giovanna Adams is an award winning artist living in the beautiful hills of New England, with her husband and two little pixies. She was born in 1971 and grew up watching fantasy films such as The Dark Crystal, Clash of the Titans and Labyrinth, which drew her into the world of fantasy. It was while attending The Colorado Institute of Art in the early 1990's that she was exposed to the early works of Charles de Lint and the paintings of Brian Froud in his and Alan Lee's book "Faeries," both of which she considers a great influence in her art today. Over the years Giovanna has developed a passion for fantasy art and the world of the fey and tries to convey with her art a sense of wonder and mystery. Her artwork can be found on an array of beautiful products such as candles, bath and body products and an assortment of prints, cards stickers and more. In 2007 Giovanna launched her ongoing "Faeries of Color™" series, which depicts a culturally diverse world of the fey. In late 2008, look for Giovanna's illustrations in the children's book "Princess Grace and the Queendom of Plentitude" by Jennifer Lazinsk and in other soon to be published titles. When not working on personal fey works, Giovanna also delights in illustrating children's fantasy books and in commissions. |
